So let me set up the scenario for you…
After a rough night with my precious, innocent baby, I’m awakened this morning by a noise that sounded like Piper was dragging her nails slowly on her crib. One word to describe the sound; creepy. What I didn’t know at the time, was that she was simply setting up the scene to make her next move even bigger. Half asleep with no coffee in my system; I repeat, NO COFFEE in my system, I entered her dark bedroom. I glance over and don’t see Piper. I’m too tired to be worried, so I’m just confused at this point.
All of a sudden, Piper literally jumps out of the corner! I actually dropped to my knees in absolute terror.
You can say that she was trying to stand up, by holding onto the crib and coincidentally got herself up at that perfect moment, but I’m pretty sure my child is a wicked genius who planned this scare attack as I was fighting with her to go to bed the night before. The fact that she was giggling and clapping after she succeeded in scaring the crap out of me, adds more truth to the matter.
Well played baby! I hope you know that you’ve started some serious stuff. You see, mommy is older and has actually seen scary movies. Even though Baby TV is scary, it’s not going to help you in this battle. Game on baby; game on.
The worse thing was that my caffeine intake was delayed as I needed to change my underpants.
